Training the Kingdom's Messengers

As Jesus begins organizing his movement in earnest, he makes the painful decision to exclude his own brothers from his core group of apostles, creating a rift with his family that would last until after his death. He sends his chosen six apostles out in pairs on their first mission, focusing on personal ministry rather than public preaching, while giving them the momentous task of each selecting another apostle to complete the twelve who would carry on his work.
